Does fibre engineer need access to router

I'm doing a home move and having fibre installed at the new property. However, my router will not be there while the engineer is installing. Does the engineer need access to the router to complete installation?

EXACTLY what service have your ordered ?

If it's FUTURE FIBRE then the engineer will need the router to confirm the service is working.

If you have ordered Fibre 35, 65 or 150 and there is an existing phone line and master socket the engineer will not need to do any internal work and you can connect the router once you have notification that your service is live.
