Dreadful broadband

Had dreadful unreliable broadband for over a year. Engineer came round  the other day and confirmed speed has been stable for 24hrs and left without any help whatsoever. We cannot maintain a connection in the house. Whatever Talktalk say the speed does vary, but it is the unreliable connections to equipment that is driving us mad. Never had this problem when we had Talktalk a few years ago. The house has not changed. Tried all the usual - restarting router, restarting/reconnection equipment. Sometimes this does help but why should we have to do this repeatedly? Any ideas please?

I've made a change to the router wifi after looking at the local wifi congestion.

 

Can you see if this is any better over the next day or two.

Hi @Holmer20 ,

 

For one of the TalkTalk OCE's on this forum to be able to look into this you will need to update your community profile to include your name, landline telephone number & alternative contact number. This will allow them to identify you, and they will then be able to check your connection & router.

 

Don't post any personal details in this thread, just add them to your community profile.

 

The TalkTalk staff on this forum probably won't be around now until Monday, so it is unlikely they will respond to this thread until early next week.
