Maybe download a WiFi analyser app to your phone - this will show you where other networks are (channel numbers etc) and their strength compared to yours - so you can eliminate any potential interference issues.

The router you have is the top of the range router that TalkTalk supply.
When you say you have a poor signal, what exactly do you mean, is the speed to your router poor, or is it just the speed to your devices that is poor, do you have both wired and wireless devices, if so are both affected ?
Does the router LED remain solid white, or does it flash amber or amber/white, indicating the router has lost connection with the internet.
If you go to the Service Centre what does it show for your estimated speed range. If you log into your router to check your sync speed does this show speeds below that estimated range. If you run a speed test (ideally from both a wired and wireless device so that you can compare), how close are the speed test results to the sync speed shown on your router.
The staff here won't be around now until Monday, but they should be able to respond to this post early next week to help.
