Faster 150

Guys,

I’ve just upgraded to Faster 150. When the Open Reach engineer was here he showed me that it was running at 160mb.

However when I run talktalk/speedcheck over wifi I only get 47mb.

If I run the test via Ethernet cable it starts at around 110mb and drops off from there.

I’ve turned the router off and on again but still the same.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Richard

Seems to be all sorted.

141Mbps!

The solution was not to use drivers that came with the product!

Thanks very much,

Richard

Hi Tricky,

I've run a test on the line now which hasn't detected a fault and the sync speed looks consistent. Do you see the same speeds on a few different devices?

Thanks

Hi Richard

Can you please update your community profile to include your:

  • Name
  • Telephone number
  • Alternative contact number

We'll then look into this further. Please do not post this information on this thread. Once you've updated your profile please post in your topic to confirm it's updated.

Thanks

Tried on the boss's computer and got 120mb!

Looks like I need a new wifi dongle for my laptop!

Why only 120 and not 160?

Thanks very much,

Richard

If you would like the online support team to look into this for you make sure that your personal details including TalkTalk landline number are complete on your community profile (click here) so that they can link your forum identity with your account and then wait for them to respond. Bear in mind they will not be back online until Monday.

Is your computer gigabit speed-capable? Does it support the latest 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard?
For wired connection, if you see the word "gigabit" or "GbE" in the device name, the adapter is gigabit-capable, meaning it can deliver up to 1,000Mbps.
