Faster 150

Guys,

I’ve just upgraded to Faster 150. When the Open Reach engineer was here he showed me that it was running at 160mb.

However when I run talktalk/speedcheck over wifi I only get 47mb.

If I run the test via Ethernet cable it starts at around 110mb and drops off from there.

I’ve turned the router off and on again but still the same.

Any suggestions?

Seems to be all sorted.

141Mbps!

The solution was not to use drivers that came with the product!

I've run a test on the line now which hasn't detected a fault and the sync speed looks consistent. Do you see the same speeds on a few different devices?

Tried on the boss's computer and got 120mb!

Looks like I need a new wifi dongle for my laptop!

Why only 120 and not 160?

Is your computer gigabit speed-capable? Does it support the latest 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard?
For wired connection, if you see the word "gigabit" or "GbE" in the device name, the adapter is gigabit-capable, meaning it can deliver up to 1,000Mbps.
