Apologies had to repost due old profile :-
Recently upgraded from faster fibre to fibre65.
no difference in speed 36down/18up.
several online chats, last one cut me off without answering my question !
basucally am being told all well and i’m Getting 74mbps.
All speed tests in all devices including hardwired =around 36/18
engineer booked
my question is:-
1/ as it’s below guaranteed speed , if engineer confirms this will I be charged?
2/ I should see an increase in speed right from the 2 packages??
many thanks in advance
regards
andy

Hello,
I've run a test on the line now which hasn't detected a fault. Please can you try powering down the router for a full 30 minutes and then retest the speed again as this will reset the current session and can often increase the throughput speeds.
Thanks

What are your actual LINE RATES as reported by the router when you log in at 192.168.1.1 ?
That will show the connection speed between you and the fibre cabinet that the chat agents are seeing.
What is the TT Service Centre reporting as the speed to your router and speed to your device ?

TT advised minimum guaranteed speed was 54ish I believe? During the online chat ...

What is your guaranteed speed?
on 19-12-2021 08:12 PM
TT tested line at 74 apparently.
i get 36/18 in all devices, hardwired or Wi-fi with router connected to master phone socket or any socket , and on any device . After hours online no change.
Hence engineers visit.
as it’s below gauranteed speed, if they confirm my speed is 36/18 as I find it is and not the 74 as per the TT online chat person says it is, will I be charged ?

OK, I will lock this one.

Hi @AndyPandy2 I think you have already posted this under a different name?
on 19-12-2021 07:27 PM
Faster Fibre was the old name for two different services, one with and one without the Speed Boost. They are now called Fibre 35 and Fibre 65 respectively. 36 down 18 up would not be possible on Fibre 35. So let's see what the support team say.

If your UP speed was always 18, then all that has changed is your package name, from Faster Fibre with Speed Boost to Fibre 65.
They are the same in all but name.
Are those figures from a speed test, Service Centre or the router statistics ?
