Hoping someone out there can provide me with a bit of insider knowledge.
Openreach have recently installed fibre direct to my property, and as of today BT have a minimum guaranteed speed of 100mb available. However when I spoke to TalkTalk, I still have the same old guaranteed speed of 9mb when speaking to an advisor.
I wondering whether this is because there is a delay with other companies databases updating when it comes to network improvements? Should I just wait a couple of weeks. I expected BT would be the first to be informed of the engineering work being completed...but how long before TalkTalk are able to offer the same speeds...i am assuming they use the same fibre network as BT of course, this could be wrong.
Appreciate the help in advance.
What service do you currently have from TT, ADSL or "Fibre/FTTC" ?
If you only have basic ADSL then you may be able to get TT FTTC which is provided over the Openreach network.
Try using a fibre availabilty checker.
