Fibre broadband has halved

Changed to fibre broadband last month all was well for a couple of weeks then noticed I was getting less than half the download speed although upload speed is OK.

Have noticed this complaint is quite common, could you please explain why this is so.

Hi lobs54,

 

Line test is clear and router is in sync at 40Mbps, have you tried Skynet_TX's suggesting and switched the router off for 30 minutes?

Hi @lobs54,

 

Have you tried switching the router off for over 30 minutes, then when you switch it back on it will start a new 'session' in the street cabinet, this can sometimes help it reconnect at a better speed.
