Fibre broadband repeatedly dropping out and never reaches 'guaranteed' speed

After months of broadband dropping out and having to re-start router, an engineer eventually visited 5 days ago (01/05/21). He fitted new master socket and checked cabling. He blamed a 'bridge tap'. He rectified this. All should now be OK, he said.

*

Unfortunately, nothing has changed, as this record shows:

At 20.40 that same evening - No service. Re-started router  and got 20 Mbps.

02/05/21 - Speed 0.15 Mbps. Re-started router - 18.3 Mbps

04/05/21 - No service - Re-started router - 11.8 Mbps

05/05/21 - No service - Re-started router - 18.9 Mbps

Even when I have service, it's nowhere near the contracted speeds.

Please Talktalk can you sort this out once and for all?

Hi HB123,

Can you please update your community profile to include your:

  • Name
  • Telephone number
  • Alternative contact number

We'll then look into this further. Please do not post this information on this thread. Once you've updated your profile please post in your topic to confirm it's updated.

Thanks
