Hi,  I am taking part in the the high speed fibre (500Mbs) trial in Culcheth. I have been haveing problems with the Fast Router  that was supplied to handle the  hi speed ( the 2.4Ghz band failed).

When contacting the normal service help line they appear to know nothing about this  and went as far as to supply me with a standard Huawiei  DG804 to repalce teh faulty Sagem Fast model.

Does any one know a phone number that can be used to contact service/techinal who are involved with the roll out.

All the best

Alan

Interesting Articles.

I do not know what  speed I am getting at 2.4Ghz as the Band is not working

On the ethernet ports I am getting 530-540 Mbps download and a similar upload

On the 5ghz band I am getting 360-370Mbps  down load and 390-400 Mbps upload

Future fibe is quite impressive

The  Sagemcom FAST 5364-3.TB   was supplied by Talktalk as the Huawei DG8041W-2.T5 was not compatable with the Future Fibre speed.

It is worth noting that my experience is that the 5Ghz range of the Sagemcom is much better than the Huawei

Unfortunately I am having to use TP repeater to provide the 2.4Ghz signal for my printer.

According to the site below, both the Sagemcom and Huawei only have 300 Mbps WiFi on the 2.4 Ghz band.

Both have Gigabit WAN ports.
