How can I set my router to allow my laptop to print wirelessly to my printer?

My laptop can’t connect wirelessly to my printer and I think the restriction is to do with my router. Can I connect to my router directly and change something to allow me to print wirelessly?

Thanks

Hi Julia_73

Have you tried splitting the SSID's on the router? Split your router's SSID (wireless network name)

My printer will only connect using 2ghz.

Thanks

Hi

The usual thing is to try and set a fixed IP address for the printer, and work from there.

OR

Use the WPS function on the router, usually a button to press, and this allows almost anything to connect for the next 30 seconds.

If in doubt please ask.
