HI,

Just been booked into have the upgrade to fibre 150 and been reading the installation process. I just want to know what will exactly happen on the day? what is installed and how? will the engineer be making any changes to the wall of the property for example creating a new phone socket connection in a new location on the wall?

I can't see it being necessary but the engineer will be able to discuss the requirements and options available

@edallen

The answers are in the article in post #2

The engineer will assess what is needed on the day.

They will probably replace your master socket with a g.fast version with two outlets, one for broadband and one for phone.

They will install an modem close to the master socket which will need a power point nearby.

That modem will connect to your router via a LAN cable, the cable will normally be around 1.5 to 2 metres.

@edallen  there are two products that have 150 in their names, one is over the phone line (as in @Michelle-TalkTalk 's link) and the other is Future Fibre 150 - Data Only, which is full fibre to the home.

Which one have you ordered ?

The two have different installation requirements.
