Internet disconnects when my home phone rings

Recently I got a new router and since then whenever my home phone rings the internet disconnects and comes back on after a while regardless of whether or not I pick the phone up.I tried using 2 micro filters however that did not help.Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Hi Your Line has what is know as a Bridge Tap (Star Wiring) you most likely have your router connected to a extension past the main socket (NTE NO FILTER) when the phone rings its interrupts the broadband.

@Adeel3 ok we can help so this has only happened when u got the new router and plugged it in


how is ur phone line do u have any issue on it like noise or other sounds do u have a clear dial tone??


as this can effect ur b/b as comes over ur phone line.


can i ask why u got a new router what was the matter with the old one??


the staff will pick this up and do some line checks on their end to see if the system picks any faults up


the oce staff should reply soon with in a few days to a week.
