Internet keeps dropping out

Hello since just before Christmas my Internet started to drop off occasionally,usually a few times a week.

Since then it has been up and down,sometimes good sometimes worse.

The last month or so it has got a lot worse,it seems to drop off more around late afternoon for some reason.

I've not changed anything on my setup at all so no idea what's going on.

Can someone please check my line(ran a test that didn't show anything).

When you tested with the different router did you also change the cable and microfilter?

 

Does your master socket have a test socket?

Hi,

thanks for the replys.

i managed to find an old router and tested it yesterday on the master socket and it still kept dropping off.

I'm sorry to hear this.

 

The line test hasn't detected any faults but I can see re connections on the line.

 

Have you tested with a different router?

Hi @django361,

 

Do you know if the problem is with the router losing its connection to the internet (in which case a light on your router which is normally constantly lit will change colour or flash), or is it that you are losing Wi-Fi connection between your device(s) and your router (in which case the light(s) on the router will just carry on looking normal).

 

Do you have any ‘wired’ devices, do they also lose connection ?
