Ok, despite having a reasonably straightforward question, I can't find any answers for it. In my Firewall Level Configuration, I am presented with only three options: 'Disabled', 'High' and 'TalkTalk' level firewall. High and Disabled are rather self-explanatory. However, I have seen TalkTalk referred to as a 'midpoint' between a 'medium' to 'high' level of firewall security, implying that the 'High' option is more secure. This was not backed up or explained; so, I am taking it with a pinch of salt. I would also like to know that if setting my firewall to 'high' will have any negative impacts on internet speed or internet access services.

Hi
Setting the firewall to high will not have any impact on speed. The TalkTalk firewall will have the optimum settings for most applications however you should never rely on any single firewall but always have a dedicated firewall on your PC or mac etc. This can be fully customised to any applications you use and can block exactly what you tell it to.
Thanks
Karl.
