New customer, when does my router start working?

Hey, had engineer round this morning, although he was supposed to come in the afternoon. Had the router set up, got the welcome email. stuck on the amber flashing light for ages now. Ran a diagnostic and apperantly phone line isn't working.

Already dubious about this service and am thinking about sticking with my old provider virgin, who also have no customer service, but at least their broadband works...

Any advice?

If today is your 'go live' day then TalkTalk will always say that you have to wait until midnight, as your service could in theory go live at any point up to midnight. However if you have already had the text/email to tell you your service is 'live' then it really should be active now.


You mention a diagnostic saying the phone line isn't working, do you actually have a landline telephone you can connect to the line to see if you get a dial tone ?


Also, for one of the TalkTalk staff on this forum to be able to look into this you will need to update your community profile to include your name, landline telephone number that your TalkTalk service is provided on & an alternative contact number. This will allow them to identify you, and they will then be able to help.


Don't post any personal details in this thread, just add them to your community profile.


Then they will hopefully be able to respond to this post tomorrow.
