Ok problems again with speed & connection

I Have had this problem before, this time I thought perhaps it was the heat.

But no , not the heat as it's had this problem for I dont know how long.

So not getting 69/70ish , more like whatever the speed the router would like to give me.

For instance when I thought it was the heat , it gave me what appeared to be 35 , in reality it was 5.

That time it was switched off for 10 mins, back on & it gave me 43.

This morning it was in the mid 40's & I got the mid 40's. Did the days shopping & returned to no internet.  So went to the mobile phone to try & run a connection test , funny enough the internet came back.

All the tests I ran said the problem was on my end. Happened that way last time I had real bad issues. Engineer "fixed" it real fast. took about a week and eventually got my "guaranteed" speed.

I like to stream & play a few online games. So can they fix it again.

Really I have enough problems dealing with stress , no more are needed.

Thanks

What hub do you currently have? And what's your estimated speed for your line.

Have you ever tried a diffrent router?

Have you tried turning it off and on again!

Hi CasioJones

I'm sorry to hear this.

Would you like me to send a replacement router for testing to see how the connection compares?

Thanks

Debbie

Please , i have currently the TalkTalk Wi-Fi Hub.
It shouldn't be the router , but it could be.

This mornings speed test.
Speed test Just now 37.5 , Router reports 39.

Hi CasioJones

The router is on its way, please allow 24-48hrs for this to arrive.

Let us know how the connection/speed compares with this router.

Thanks

New router is in, just finished setup.
So it's reporting 40 Mbps , But speedtest says 37 Mbps down & 3 up.
Going to take a guess I need to wait for it to calibrate ?

Hi CasioJones

Please can you leave the router switched on without rebooting for 48hrs, this will allow DLM time to monitor the connection and adjust the profile/speed.

I will check the connection stats again on Wednesday.

Thanks

Hi CasioJones

I've checked the connection stats again and the line is in sync at 38mb but the line test is now detecting a potential line fault.

I have passed this over to Openreach to be investigated by a line engineer and we should receive further updates from Openreach within the next 48-72hrs.

Thanks
