Packet loss and ping delay since change in weather: DG8041W TalkTalk Wi-Fi Hub Version v1.05t

I have built a network monitor that records my service stats by pinging the talktalk server. All has been fine, but since we have had some rain the connection has been dropping out .

The stats shown below show an average packet loss over 5 pings, and an average ping time.

Normally I see a packet loss of zero and a ping time below 20msec.

You can see in the stats below that from 2021/04/27 19:00 my previously stable connection started showing packet loss and jitter.

I've checked the service status and its not showing any issues

Hi,

 

Thanks for the update. Can I just confirm, when the connection is dropping does this also happen on a wired device? Do any of the lights change on the router? You've mentioned that it has happened since rain, is there any noise on the line?

Wired connection to the router. The network minitor uses a wifi connection but as you can see from the data its 100% uptime.

I'm sorry to hear this. I've run a test on the line now which hasn't detected a fault and the connection looks stable. Just to confirm, are you currently connected wired or wireless?
