Port Forwarding problem

Hi,

Hopefully I'm missing something obvious here.

My TalkTalk hub is: version SG4K10002816t

I have a service running on a Raspberry Pi in my internal network.

I can access this service without issue using:

http://192.168.1.92:8081/

(I have fixed the Pi IP to be the one above)

I have setup port forwarding here

talktalk.PNG

And confirmed the port is open here:

https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/

port-check.PNG

If I turn the port forward rule off, the port check immediately shows it as closed, so I think that element at least is working.

But when I try this URL using my current public address:

http://78.XXX.XXX.XXX:42675/

I always get a response of:

This site can’t be reached
78.XXX.XXX.XXX took too long to respond.

Any ideas what I'm missing here?

That is the NAT loopback blocking that you have come across, most TalkTalk routers block this traffic.

Ah!

I tried from a PC off my network and it works. 🙂

I guess it doesnt like me trying externally when I'm inside.
