Return of equipment at end of contract

Hi

I've been a talktalk loyal customer for over 10 years. However, sadly after a 6 month issue with my fast fibre Internet speeds, see my community page for details, I ran out of patience and I moved to an alternate provider in February.

I've always been of the opinion that after the end of your first contract the equipment was yours to keep. However, at talktalk's request I filled and posted a returns envelope with  equipment for disposal yet I have just received an email advising me that I am to be charged £50?

Any help/advice greatfully appreciated.

You can request a cheque, @Bridman. Shouldn't be a problem.

There might be a problem.

My last and final bill was for £0 so I have cancelled my direct debit?

I will re-escalate this thread, @Bridman, to ensure that it is back in the workflow.

@Arne-TalkTalk will ensure that the money is credited back to your account. If it is too late to stop the  Direct Debit amount going through, it will show as a credit in your "transaction history".

If that is the case, you will need to claim it back through My Account. Leave your Direct Debit details in place to facilitate this.

Does that mean no further action is required?

@Bridman, emails that come from the forum are "no reply".

Staff will not receive messages if you email a reply.

Follow @AllyM's directions to send OCE Arne a PM.

If you receive any message that way, it will show in your profile area, with a number beside the message envelope. Click on the bold typed subject heading to open the message fully.

Hi

I wasn't sure how to PM you so I returned the tracking number as requested via your email.

Is that OK?

Hi Bridman

Did you get a tracking number for the returns bag.

Can you PM me the number so I can check it.

We can check this with our warehouse.

Thanks

@Bridman, there have been quite a few reports of this happening recently.

Please look out for a reply from TT staff later in the week.
