Sagemcom Router resets selected WiFi channel

Hi. I have the same problem as others who've posted - I select a specific channel for the WiFi to avoid interference and the router resets it after a while. Could this be switched off for me connection please?

It's all well and good for the router to select this but the competing routers and access points where it's situated are different from elsewhere in the house where reception starts getting poor and the signal needs maximising. It's therefore not going to make the best choice.
