Sagemcom router keeps changing wifi channels DAILY

I have a sagemcom router which keeps changing my 2.4ghz wifi channels.  Can this channel optimisation be turned off please.  It changes EVERY  DAY at 04.17 am, (listed in the routers logs).

Channel 1 suffers interference from neighbours WIFI, changing to Channel 6 fixes the poor internet. TALTALK support have failed so far to fix this, they go down the wrong path. They even sent a replacement router WITH THE IDENTICLE PROBLEM. Fed up of the daily work-around to fix this.

TALKTALK support stated that this issue has been escalated, but nothing heard for over a week, so far a very poor service from TALKTALK.  😞   😞

Thank you, this has now resolved the daily channel hop by the router.

There is a HUGH disconnect between your chat and voice agents knowledge, some 8 hours of text chat (3 agents), and some 1.5 hours verbal chat following a complaint TNA. On the outset I originally stated the problem and to its potential fix, yet every agent just repeats the same script with little reference to what has already been carried out...

Again, thank you.. Peater

Hi Peater

Apologies for this.

The WIFI optimisation has now been switched off. Please let us know how the connection compares.

Thanks

Hi @Peater,

The support team here on the community can turn off this 'Wi-Fi Optimisation' feature for you.

For one of the TalkTalk Support Team on this community to be able to look into this you will need to update your community profile to include your name, landline telephone number that your TalkTalk service is provided on & an alternative contact number. This will allow them to identify you, and they will then be able to help.

Don't post any personal details in this thread, just add them to your community profile (only you and the TalkTalk Support Team on this community can see your profile details).

Then they will hopefully be able to respond to this post tomorrow.
