Slow Fibre65 speeds

Here is the speed I get using the standard TalkTalk router:

To be honest, I don't have the time or energy to make a complaint, I've got other things to worry about.

Hi AllyM,

Your speeds are within the predicted range for your line, is your router currently connected to your Test Socket?

@Ste_Nix14 and @paulshent , I appreciate you are both just trying to be helpful, but I really don't need any assistance with this.

I am on Fibre65. Estimated speed was between 32 and 52Mbps.

Actual sync speed with TalkTalk router is about 35Mbps down, 5Mbps up.

With my third party modem/router I can "tweak" the downstream (not the upstream unfortunately) target SNR.

Reducing SNR to 2dB, I can get sync speed of about 40Mbps down, 5.5Mbps up still with rock solid connection and relatively low errors.

The issue is that the PCP/Fibre cabinets are too far from the house.

Have you had confirmation that you are on Fibre65 ?

If so power the modem off for 30 mins then back on to allow BT network reset and give correct speed.

What is maximun speed for line shown by router via logging in to admin on router.

If after reset the speed shown by router hardware is not above 40Mbps then a) your not on fibre65, or b) your line is not capable of supporting fibre65.

Hi @AllyM

I can see your Guarnteed Speed Talktalk SC has advised you is 26mbps and your latest speed test is 34mbps. Does this differ from what you have been told previously?

What package are you currently on and have you recently upgraded?
