Slow broadband, engineer appointment cancelled

I am on Fibre 65. Speed to router fine, speed to device poor. Tried 3 different devices, and used a wired connection to my laptop, all poor.

Last week and again at ghe weekend, I went through all the protocols to try & rectify this, to no avail.

Yesterday, I spent four and a half hours, with 5 Tech Support people! Kept losing contact. The last one was 1.5 hour phone call. The result was that an engineer appointment was booked for tomorrow.

This morning, I had a message to say it had been cancelled!

No explanation.

No rebook.

I feel that the problem is with the router.

Please help

I'm really sorry to hear this.

 

Can I just check, have you also powered down the router for a full 30 minutes and then run a speed test?
