Slow evening speed

My Fibre speed most of the time is exactly how I expect it to be. But very often in the evening the speed drops literally to below 1mbps! Every time I restart the router, the new speed on the reconnection is fine again. It's weird how it goes from 800kbps to 30mbps from one minute to the next.

Whilst I have my 'fix' of restarting the router all the time, I'd like to know if there's a real way of fixing this so that my connection is dependable.

Could it be my router? It is quite a few years old Hauwei HG633 H1.01 with software 2.00t

Hello again! Well the new router has had a good few days of testing now and my evening speed issues seem to have vanished. Problem solved. Thanks very much!
