Speed drop off after Router

Help Needed

first I am no novice..

I Have fibre 65 

just for info..

day 1 - i have 65 m.b.p.s. to router & 60 mbps from router to PC ( wired in )

day 2- i have 65 mbps to router & 10 mbps from router to PC ( wired in )

day 2 - router restarted 

day 2 - i have 65 mbps to router & 60 mbps from router to PC ( wired in )

day 3 - i have 5-10 mbps from  router to pc. support contacted back to 60mbps

day 4 - within 12 hours back to 5-10 mbps

 

this repeats its self.. plus the time i have to restart / reset decreases .

 

i think / know that i need a new router.. how do I get one?

my router is nearly 8 years old

 

any ideas any one?

hi

model =  HUAWEI HG633

 even today i have restarted twice..

at 4pm i was getting 11mbps

at 10pm i was getting 20mbps

its dropped again down to 16mbps

but always to the router its a stable 64mbps

Hi @Steve 1971,

 

What model of router do you currently have ?

 

If the staff here think a new router is the best thing to try then they will be able to arrange that for you, they will hopefully be able to respond to this post tomorrow.
