Speed to my router = Poor

Hi,

Ran a speed test on your site and I've only been getting at max 32mb download to the router.

 

  • I've reset the router - same
  • This is using a wired connection but same speeds on WiFi.
  • I've turned off and disconnected the router for 30mins+ today and same.
  • Tried new micro-filter - same
  • My speed status shows as POOR (see attached image)
  • I get occasional internet drops but not often or for any length of time.
  • Website and connection is okay just that I've been paying for a lot higher rated fibre speed for some time and not been getting it.

Router = Huawei HG633

 

Can you please test the line for me and get back with some actions and possible solution.

Hi

 

Line tests are clear, so no issues evident when testing.

 

Check the home phone has a clear dial tone, no noise or crackles etc.

 

Would you like me to send a router for testing, to rule out any hardware issue ?

Hi Debbie,

I have only every got at max between 28-32Mb speeds ranked as poor via your test previously.

 

I have made sure to close any applications that may use data download before running any tests.

I've completed a line test which hasn't detected any faults and your line is in sync at 36.5mb.

 

What speed were you previously receiving?
