Hi Bazzatay

Would you like me to send a different router for testing?

Hi Michelle

Yes it seems to be the case, the dowload speed drops after a few days and a reboot brings it back to where it should be.

No I don't have another router to test with I've had this HG633 for a number of years now and never had a problem with it until the upgrade to Fiber65..

Morning,

Does the speed eventually drop again until you have to reboot the router again? Do you have an alternative router that you can test with?

Thanks

Hi Michelle thanks for the reply.

Yes this is the predicted.

You can look forward to an estimated download speed between 35.0Mbps and 54.1Mbps with a minimum guaranteed speed of 28.5Mbps.

On fiber 35 my router was in sync at 40Mbps and I had a constant 37Mbps download speed.

Here is a speed test from tonight when I got in from work still at the test socket.

Edit

After a router reboot.

Morning,

Thanks for confirming this. I can see that the sync speed has dropped slightly. Did you receive a predicted speed range prior to the upgrade?

Thanks

Hi Bazzatay

I've checked the connection stats and the line is now in sync at 42.9mb.

Did you connect the router at the test socket and power it down for 30 minutes?

Thanks

Hi Bazzatay

Sorry for the delay.

I've checked the connection stats and your line is showing in sync at 46.2mb.

Would it be possible to connect the router at the test socket, then power down the router for 30 minutes. After the 30 minute power down please can you keep the router switched on (without rebooting) over the weekend? We can then check the connection stats again on Monday to see if DLM has made any changes to the speed/profile.

Thanks

Debbie

If you are getting very low throughput on wired as well as wireless then it might just be worth trying another extended power down. I've certainly seen other customers say that their initial +30 minute shutdown did not help, but a longer additional shutdown did resolve it.

I agree that anything +30 minutes should be enough, but if it was convenient to shut it down for a longer period of time then there is a chance that might help.

So which are you concerned about,

The fact that you are getting a sync of 44 and you expect more on Fibre 65

Or the fact that 44 is as expected but your throughput is much lower

or both ?

I think the 5mbps download is pretty much a givaway

What speeds were you told to expect? Maybe that's as fast as it goes, it is certainly more than you would get on Fibre 35 which is capped at 40.

Did you read the post ????????????????????

Do you have any wired devices, if so do they also have such slow throughput ?
