Hi All

I'm concerned about when I will be contacted regarding the demise of my old copper (FTTC) connection.  As I understand it, I am to be contacted by TalkTalk for an upgrade at some point for the relevant teams to visit and switch me over, but so far, I've neither received an email regarding this, nor can I see any information about when this might happen at my address when I log into my TalkTalk account.  I rely heavily on my phone for my personal safety and security and would like to make sure my phone is future-proofed as soon as possible.  I will need a member of my family to attend to handle things for me on upgrade day and would like to plan ahead so they can be available when the time comes.

I would be very grateful if anyone could let me know if/how I can get more information in order to plan for the above.

Many thanks

And if anyone has a power of attorney or authority to act on your behalf, please see here.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here: How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - Help & Support.

In addition to the advice from @Gliwmaeden2 of you have any additional needs given your comment on relying on your phone, have you registered such vulnerabilities with TalkTalk?

If not its worth looking here and deciding if you qualify, and if so registering so your reliance on certain services, sich as the phone is recorded.

If there's nothing showing as available when you check in the "for existing customers" section on this page, it's not available for your address through Talktalk yet, @cooger:

https://www.talktalk.co.uk/broadband/fttp

If it shows up there, make sure you order it with VOIP at the time of ordering  - otherwise you will end up with data [Internet] only.

Just because Openreach  / Cityfibre  etc have installed it in your street doesn't make it available from all ISPs straight away.

Deals are set up with one main ISP to establish the service in the area to start with and then rolled out to other ISPs when they can sort out contracts etc, engineer availability etc.

Talktalk cannot possibly tell you ahead of their own agreements being in place with Openreach etc.

You'll have to just keep checking.
