My contract is due for renewal. I had an email recently about it. But when I go to my account, it just says that there are no offers available, and there doesn't seem to be any way to upgrade, either. I don't really want to use those phone numbers in the email in case its fake. Why can't I just renew / upgrade from my account? I did email support last week and go a ticket number, but I've had no reply. Its my bet that they'll wait until its too late to answer so I get forced on to a more expensive contract than I need be.

Don't bother with "Offers & Upgrades"!
You can use Chat, if phoning doesn't suit you, @JimRollinson.
Phone contracts can be thrashed out with the support agent and you will get a much better deal that way.
Not sure why you want to waste time and energy over "Offers" emails etc.

What a complete and utter pain in the nether regions! The whole thing is utterly stupid from start to finish. When you phone, all that happens is that you get sent on an endless rollercoaster ride of entering the same details over and over again on the messaging system! Then I lost the thread completely when I went to read an email they sent. I had to start all over again on the computer. At least I've got two screens there so I can shuffle stuff around. I had to send them a copy of the upgrade offers email because they, miraculously, didn't seem to know anything about it! The website has a button that says 'renew your contract online'. try clicking that sometime, just for fun! Takes you right back to where you started, no offers, no nothing. There ought to be a law against this king of rubbish. I should sent a long complaint to the authorities about this site, but I've already wasted enough time. All I an say is I'm glad I will be dumping them sometime in the future for BeFibre. Faster, cheaper, and more importantly, symmetrical data. Hoping other people will see this so they can see how difficult this company is to deal with.

That's why I suggested phoning or using Chat.
You can get a much more bespoke deal that way - I get them to send through a confirmation email while I am on the line, @JimRollinson, to make sure it's being put through.
Staff on here can also check that it's been set up correctly - they simply can't fix up the deal for you.
Offers and Upgrades have rarely given the best offers, so no loss there if it doesn't show anything!

Offers and upgrades doesn't work at all, it just says there are no offers or upgrades. Renew your contract online doesn't work, you just go round in ever decreasing circles on this utterly stupid website. I don't think I've ever seen a website this useless.

@JimRollinson, do a quick check for comparative deals on Talktalk's main website, and third party comparison websites.
You usually get a better deal by ignoring "my offers and upgrades" in My Account and going straight to Retentions / Better Value / the Loyalty Team on 03451 720088 or using Chat in the link provided.
Check opening hours there too:

Forum staff can't set this up for you.
As long as you are within the last 3 months of your contract you should be fine to renew / upgrade without admin fees etc.
Fine tune all the details in person.
