...an engineer to fit a fibre optic cable in to my house? I've just got a bolt standard BT phone line.

 

I am upgrading from normal broadband and my order simply days that a new router will be sent and my go live date is the 4th April. No mention of an engineer, so what gives?

TT do not offer proper fibre unless you live in York.

 

You are most likely getting fibre to the cabinet, so the last leg of the service still comes down the phone line.

 

No internal work should be needed, just follow the instructions with the new router and if you don't have a filtered faceplate, best to use the new filter and cables.
