I have been a talk talk customer for a couple of years now.
I have recently moved to a new address and got told there was no fibre in my area, so i got sold a awful internet package. Well today i found out there was fibre in my area and currently being upgraded to it.
Why cant they put me onto Fibre the same day?

Just because there's "fibre in the area", it doesn't mean that there's any available for your line in particular - it depends on the allocation in the nearby cabinet etc.
I just discovered that my local cabinet hasn't been kitted out at all for Fibre, despite witnessing the pavements in all the surrounding streets and in front of my house being dug up for the infrastructure to be installed.....!
Talktalk can't sell you something that your line can't take at the moment, @Kieran92.
And each company has limited capacity at the cabinet.
