Upload Speed on Fibre slow

Hi, I was wondering is it possible to increase the upload speed on Fibre broadand. I am getting a good download speed of 37Mbps but only getting 5Mbps upload. This is causing issues with voip calls when both myself and daughter are working from home. I have turned off the router for 30mins as advised in other posts but the upload speed does not improve.

Many thanks

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Apologies, we can't manually adjust profiles for fibre as this is managed by DLM to provide the best balance between stability and speed for the line.

Thanks

Hi Chris

Thank you for your reply. I was hoping there was a way to adjust the upload speed similar to the adjustment that used to be made to ones profile e.g. to 6db to increase the sync speed.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the information. I'm not sure what else we can do, BT don't guarantee upstream speeds but having said that your upstream speeds are within the predicted range for your line.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the update. Apologies I can't see your connection stats at the moment. How have you found the overall performance of the connection since the router has been connected at the test socket?

Thanks

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the update. It's possible that DLM may continue to increase the upload speed over the next 48hrs now that the router is connected at the test socket.

Thanks

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Sorry for the delay. Would you like us to send a different router for testing purposes?

Thanks

Hi Michelle

No I do not have another router I can use to test, only upgraded to fibre in January, unless the old fast broadband router will work.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for trying this and I'm sorry that there hasn't been any improvement in speed. Do you have an alternative router that you can test with at all?

Thanks
