Wired Connection High Latency In gaming Desktop

Hi can anyone help lately my son has been complaing if high latency in games, its only started to happen recently and also WiFi signal on mobile devices seems to be non exsistent. With connection disconects etc but there is no issue in service center or live connection test. Speeds are fine in speedtest also when tested wired

If you could switch the router off at the power supply (wall) just for 30 mins.

Please can you power down the router for a full 30 minutes and then run a speed test?

 

Yes you can also change the SSID's after the power down.

Hi Debbie,

 

Just one issue on router page upload speed says 19.53 Mbps but on a test wired its only coming as 9mbs.

 

Also is it okay to change SSID name so I know if its 2.4Ghz and 5ghz in router configuration?

The Huawei WIFI hub is on its way, please allow 24-48hrs for this to arrive.

Ok, would you like us to send a Huawei Wifi Hub for testing purposes to see how the connection compares? We would also send a router returns bag so that one of the routers can be returned.

So just an update over the weekend, gaming latency has been terrible literally unplayable, download speeds have went to 20mbs from 80mb wired which I've never seen before. Just not good enough since made the switch? any idea what could be causing this?

Hello,

 

Apologies, I can't connect to your router at the moment. Is this the Sagemcom Wifi Hub? We are currently in the process of rolling out new firmware for the Sagemcom Wifi Hub which should resolve this DNS issue.

 

I've re-checked the connection stats and the connection stats still look good. Would you mind running another wired and ping and trace route please.

I've ordered a replacement router, it should be with you within a couple of working days but please allow up to 5 working days
