Please can someone point me in the right direction ,

my dlink router is running v1.08t firmware ,as i found out today ,wifi drops in and out with no real reliability(thats why i run a netgear access point ),

been having network issues (poor speeds and dropouts )

checked service status and its showing two problems.

1 router software out of date .(current v1.08t)

2 Network service status  error  (track fault)

I also have this message about my router, if I log in to my TalkTalk account and check the status of my internet. It seems to work fine, no apparent problems.

Do I need to update my router's software, and if so, how do I arrange to do this?

Does anyone have any info on how to update my router software, please?
