blocking non https access to the router dashboard/config pages

Hi,

New to talktalk, and hoping they have fixed their security issues after the screwup a couple of years ago.

Sadly, when looking at the router, it appears there's still work to do.

The fibre router allows logins and router config on port 80, as well as 443 (for https)

Is there any way of blocking port 80 access, or redirecting it to 443 ? I tried adding a rule to the firewall, to block port 80, but that didn't work (I'm guessing those are egress rules, not ingress... Which is a shame. )

Hi simon_c,

Apologies, this is not something that we can support.

Thanks

Thought I'd replied to this once, but I can't seem to find it... Strange..

I obviously don't want to block traffic that goes *through* my router on port 80.

I want to block poirt 80 logins to the router's console page, to force that over 443 !

Hi,

Port 80 is for internet traffic, I'm not sure why you would want to block this?

Thanks
