At present I have standard broadband.

My primary email I use is Tinyworld.

I pay the monthly bill.

The phone line is provided by BT and is paid by the wife.

If we change to Fibre 65 will we be able to keep our phone number and also our Tinyworld email address.

Hi there @DaveBeryl, please note I've looked into the matter and can confirm you can keep the email as you will have an active broadband account with us. You can also keep the line as per information I've gathered in my investigation. Please consult with the better value team so they can give a clear explanation on how it will work out. Thanks

I am still no further forward in looking to change to Fibre.

One option I have thought of is to keep my Tinyworld and Tiscali email address and change to BT for a fibre package which will allow us to keep our phone number.

This option would allow us to keep our email address.

Any other options or thoughts would be very welcome.

Thanks

Hi there @DaveBeryl, looks like you won't be able t6o keep the landline number. You can consult with our sales team though and they will inform you more on the process. Thanks

The replys I have had indicate this might be impossible.

Would it be possible for the wife to change from BT to a TalkTalk package which includes Fibre 65

the question then is will we be able to keep our phone number and our email addresses which we have a Tinyworld one and a Tiscali one which is at pressent on our broadband only with talktalk.

Are there any other options to consider.

Thank you

Talktalk provides Fibre to the Cabinet Fibre65, so the same copper that you have, but you need to get the phone line switched to Talktalk.

Paying separately all these years has probably been the most expensive way to do this - you must be on a legacy broadband account with Talktalk if the phone line is not bundled in [has been included in the headline price for around 7 years].

I think you need to call in to fix up a new contract, @DaveBeryl.

If you go for Full Fibre [there's a Fibre65 package for that too] check the cost of including digital voice though. It needs to be ordered at the same time as FTTP.

Complicated by the fact that the phone and the broadband are not only not with the same company but not under the same account holder name.

Use phone after 9am or Chat after 8am:

.... and contact BT. NOT straightforward.
