Been getting mails about my free upgrade to Full Fibre, and had one saying i'm getting a new router - why can i not just use the one i've got, the grey /\ shaped one?

Glad your up and running.

 

If you look under the Wi-Fi card on the back of the router, does this show the router login details.

Hi,

guys have been around and i'm up and running. speed test is only showing about 44 at the moment though.

 

one issue; i used my old bookmark [to the 192.168 address] to go to the router login to check the settings etc, and it just gives me a "wrong login information" error - can't recall how i set it up a few years ago, what do i need to do? tried my password and tried the standard "admin/password" but neither work

 

EDIT - my bad, it was written on the back of the router 😄

so i'm a bit confused then. the mails say i'm going up to "more than double my current speed" of 152mps, my current speed tests only show about 30mps though, and it says i'll be getting "Digital Voice".

my new router was delivered today, and it's a grey hub 2, the same /\ shaped one i already have

 

EDIT: oh, excuse me; i've just taken it out and had a look at it's not the same, there's a digi voice port w/ a sticker over on on the back that my current one doesn't have. i was getting confused because the pics i've seen else where are totally different devices, white or black.

Good afternoon,

 

It depends which FTTP package you're upgrading to. If it has VOIP then you would need a new router which has a voice port on the back. Our higher speed packages also comes with an eero.
