Poor Wifi Performance with Eero 6

My experience with migrating to "Future Fibre" has not been a great one so far. First engineer doesn't turn up to complete the install, once rescheduled turns up and does a bad job (spliced cable incorrecly) resulting in no internet for 48.

 

And now migrated I'm finding the Wifi performance of the Eero 6 routers absolutely dire compared to the old TalkTalk Wifi Hub. 

 

I've even purchased a second Eero 6 to extend coverage but still have dead spots and poor signal in certain parts of the house/garden.

 

Is this to be expected?

Hi Michelle, yes I've been through all the above. Performance on wired devices or those wireless devices located close to the access points are fine, it just seems to be anything with a little bit of distance is dire with constant drop outs.

 

Just seems like the Eeros provide a much weaker wifi signal compared to the TalkTalk Hubs which I'm trying to confirm is to be expected?
