I've recently set up my 'YouView' box. How do I link in my dvd recorder/player?

You cannot record from youview to a dvd recorder

if the dvd recorder has a built in tuner you can set the you view to FR loop this will pass through the signal via the coaxial output, so you could have your recorder connected this way.

other than that, you would need an extra scart socket or HDMI socket on your tv

I don't want to record from the YouView box but I want to run my DVD player/recorder in parallel to the same TV so that I can watch my collectiion of DVDs and maybe record independently. Can I split the incoming aerial signal to the YouView box and the DVD player/recorder then link both to the TV with a twin HDMI unit into the HDMI socket on the TV?
