Caller ID not working

I bought a new cordless phone a couple of weeks ago - never had one before - and signed up for Caller ID. Not working though.
TalkTalk Customer Support diagnosed a "synchronisation problem" 2 days ago, and asked me to try again in 2-3 hours. Still not working.
I don't have another display phone to try, but tried the other troubleshooting suggestions on the website, eg disconnect other devices / WiFi. Still no luck.
Grateful for help or advice.

Im not seeing any obvious errors. 

 

Are you able to test the phone direct into the Test socket on your master socket?

I tried plugging it into the test socket inside the master socket just now, and still got the same result. Namely:

1. Incoming calls just show as "Incoming call".

2. When selecting "Caller list" from the phone menu, it says "You must first subscribe to Caller ID".
