A couple of months ago, after a series of complaints, my line was tested firstly by a Talk Talk engineer and later by a BT engineer. The BT engineer fitted a new internal socket and the line was fine with little or no crackling. However, the crackling is back as bad as before and is quite severe at times...this morning I couldn't complete an important hospital phone call as the line was so bad. Very occasionally there is little or no crackling or the crackling eases during a call. Please advise regarding contacting a BT engineer. Thank you

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing problems with your service.
Line test isn't picking up any issues. How many telephone sockets do you have? Have you tested with your telephone connected to your Test Socket?
