How to report a faulty landline for a TalkTalk customer when you're not the customer?

Hi,

A neighbour has just let us know that a relative's phone isn't working and we can't find a way to let TalkTalk know that the landline is out of action without knowing login details (we just have the phone number). There's noone on the phones over the weekend. Does anyone know a way to access webchat without being logged in to an account (as we're not with TalkTalk)?

Hi PandJ4C,

How are you getting on, do you know if you neighbours relative managed to get their issue resolved?

Is it only the phone that is affected, @PandJ4C?

If that is the case, the individual with the issue should log it via Chat on the blue button link near the bottom of this page:

https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Articles/Our-live-chat-team/ta-p/2230529

If that can't be managed, please wait for support from staff on here  - it will be Monday at the earliest.

Further security checks may need to be made, but meanwhile complete your own community forum profile details as much as possible and add the affected customer's name and address, account number and landline number in PRIVATE NOTES.

Go via your avatar/name; settings; from the drop down menu that starts with "email" choose Personal Information. Put your details on there, where relevant.

At the end of that section, in Private Notes, add the customer's details. SAVE CHANGES.
