Hi
My Landline is not working, as of two hours ago!
I've done the usual, tried another handset directly into the test socket.
There is no dial tone.
When dialed the number appears to be engaged...
Fortunately my internet still works!
I'm aware there appears to be some outtages, however I wanted to log this just incase...
Tried to login for text updates - not sure if this was accepted...
Thanks
I will ask one of TalkTalk's OCEs to pick your thread up and investigate it for you.
The forum is not real-time 24/7 support, so depending on how busy they are & how many are working at any one time, this can take 24 - 48 hrs (excluding weekends & limited cover on Bank Holidays). Alternatively, you can call the call centre or use online chat. The posts are responded to in time/date order, oldest first. So the fewer entries you make on your thread now, the sooner they will pick it up.
To save yourself time, please make sure that your community profile includes your first & last names, broadband phone number & if possible an alternative contact number. This can be done by clicking on your Avatar picture then click on "My Settings" followed by:-
Personal Profile > Personal Information
Otherwise, TalkTalk will not be able to tie up your forum username to your broadband account. Only you & TalkTalk have visibility of your details.

I am not employed by TalkTalk, I'm just a customer. If my post has fixed the issue, please mark it as the Best Answer.
OCE's and Community Stars - Who are they?
Thank you!
I have checked and these details are in my personal profile....
Hi,
As it's now Tuesday... is there any news/update on my ladline problem...?
Incidentally they appear to be putting an additional "green box" next to the one opposite my home...
I wonder is what caused the loss of my landline , and have I got to wait until these works have concluded before my line is reinstated?
Regards,
Hi @AlanB4
Looks like the fault is part of a wider problem latest update is : "This circuit is a part of common fault. Linked with the lead fault id is “LN6CMF40” as per the latest updates. Duct work is required. It has been passed to the relevant team. The Required By Date (RBD) provided by contractors is as 16/11/18. Please check Fault Tracker for further update on 19/11/2018."
Sorry again for the inconvenience caused.
