Landline can ring out. Incoming calls drop after one ring.

Hi Community
Land line rings out ok. Incoming calls from landlines and mobiles drop out after one ring, heard on line but not in home. Call log records incoming 'missed call, number time and date'
Talktalk line check shows line ok. Broadband is ok.
Have disconnected all aparatus and connected standard alone phone to master socket.
Problem persists.
Has anyone got the answer please?

Excellent Openreach engineer, Graham, has appeared to solve the problem.  Damp on incoming line. 

He has run new cable from waterproof outside junction with incoming line to Master socket.

Others are also experiencing this and TalkTalk are looking into this.

 

so that the OCE'S can add your details to this issue can you please ensure you have your personal information up to date in your profile including your TalkTalk landline phone number so your account can be traced. If you are unsure of your phone number, you can find this in My Account or dial 17070 from your landline phone and this will confirm the number for you.
