Landline not working

Hi Guys

Landline not working had an online chat with support who were going to call me back on my mobile between 4pm and 6pm but as I expected no one called.

When I lift the receiver I get the engaged tone (without dialing)

When I try to call my number the line is dead.

Two other people that I know of on Talktalk on my street have the same problem.

My next door neighbour is 90 years old and really needs her phone working. She does not have a mobile and does not use the internet.

Hope you can help

Thanks  Mark

Hi @ifanyonecan your post has been flagged for assistance and you should hear during the day. Sounds as though someone has been messing doesn't it?

The team here will get you sorted.

Thanks Arne

I looked on Facebook and it seems quite a few people in the area are having the same problem.

Broadband is working ok.

Hi @ifanyonecan

The test has picked up a loop fault, which could be caused by internal wiring/setup  can you please connect you phone directly to the test socket and see if the fault is still present.

Thanks.
