My landline will not receive calls or let me dial out. Please help

There was no ringtone at all last night,  but is working again today which is great.

Just want to know why this happened in the first place 😕

When I tried to ring out, just got an engaged tone and it was a dead line when people tried to call me. Tried again today and it's working!!!

Hi Michelle

 

I'm sorry to hear this.

 

I've completed a line test which hasn't detected any faults - Line test is clear.

 

Have you tested with a different phone at the test socket, with the router removed from the line?

It's very possible I did as they didn't mention if they had a dial tone or not.

 

Hard to say without more information.

@ Michelle 3 Sorry to read this. Does the issue persist with your phone connected directly at the test socket?

I have the same issue and apparently its a TalkTalk network issue rather then an issue with our lines.

Seems they have updated the service desk but that does mention no dial tone but I do have a dialing tone so im not sure.

Hopefully by tomorrow it will be resolved.
