No dial tone - "Check Phone Line"

Hi,

As the subject says, I have no dial tone and cant call out. If I ring my landline from my mobile it appears to be ringing on my mobile but nothing from the landline. I have tested with another phone cable and tried it with the test socket, same result.

There is no internal wiring to check, I have a Mk3 master with a router and the phone plugged into it.

This problem arose after a lightning strike took out a local BT pole.

Hi GeRM,

I'm sorry to hear this. The line test has detected a possible line fault so I've passed this over to Openreach now for an external line investigation to be completed and we should receive an update back within the next 48-72hrs.
