Hi,

 

my phone stopped working yesterday. There is no dial tone but when the number is called from another phone it goes onto the answer service normally but does not ring the phone. I have tried a corded phone in the test socket and it is exactly the same. It is extremely frustrating as I am over 80 and depend on my phone and cannot seem to find any way to report this fault, as live chat does not work. I did see that you have increased my monthly bill by £2.50 though.

 

Please help

Thanks for your reply. It has now come back on since last night. But maybe the fault will reoccur later if there is a lose connection. It now has all the original equipment in (cordless phone). I will see if it does it again.

I'm sorry to hear this.

 

I've completed a line test which has detected a loop fault and this fault can often be caused by internal wiring or equipment connected to the line.

 

Is the phone at the test socket at the moment? (with router removed)
