No landline 3 days, no broadband 12 days, no status on repairs

The BT roadside box providing our telephone & internet connection was damaged by a car on 12th July. This resulted in immediate loss of the internet connection and the landline dropped 3 days ago. I understand BT Openreach are working on repairing the box but we have no information available from Talk Talk when our service will be restored and BT will not provide any details. How do we get an update on this issue? Any info appreciated, thanks.

Glad to hear your phone service is back, sorry that it's taking so long for your broadband service. This is till in hand with Openreach so hopefully they'll continue working on this today. Could you bump the thread tomorrow and we'll check for further updates

Hi Chris

The landline was restored late Friday morning and the broadband was also available for the rest of Friday but has been unavailable over almost all of the weekend and also today. No engineers were seen working over the weekend. If you can follow-up it would be appreciated.

Thanks for the information and yes some Openreach engineers generally do work over the weekend

Thanks for the prompt feedback.

 

Openreach engineers have been working on the junction box for several days and tomorrow will be 2 weeks since they first surveyed the damage to the box so it's both disappointing and surprising that an estimated re-connection date is not available.

 

I'll provide an update on Monday but do you happen to know if Openreach engineers usually work on weekends?

Hi GERARDB,

 

The only information that we have at the moment is that it's "in hand" with Openreach. If you don't hear anything over the weekend can you bump the thread on Monday and we'll check for further updates
