I have moved into a rented accommodation with a previous talk talk landline number. After a few months of receiving calls via the landline it has suddenly disconnected. Am I able to take over the previous line on a new account?

You would need to apply for a new service in your own right, @Alberto Sessich, but it wouldn't hurt to check that the phone has really been disconnected due to a previous cease service, rather than a predecessor simply not paying bills.
Rented accommodation does get complicated....

If the account was cut off for non-payment there could be an issue, but discuss that with the loyalty team.
